Roadmap: Building a Bionic Enterprise

How do we get started? Where do we start? What do we want our of our Bionic Enterprise? Common questions, but really that begins with the roadmap below and the questions that transformation leaders should be asking. Becoming and staying a Bionic Enterprise is a process of continuous transformation. The organizations of today cannot expect to survive or remain relevant as the pace of societal change, technological change, business change continuous to increase. The slower members of the heard will be left behind. It is truly survival of the fittest moving into the future.

Mindset is key. The organizations of the future must adopt a new mindset beginning with training and education. Using agile/iterative methods for evolving the enterprise is key. While the roadmap below appears linear, it is really iterative. Organizations should continuously iterate from the Training and Orientation Phase through the Execution Phase at all levels of the enterprise from the individual team level to the functional business level and across the enterprise. The pursuit of continuous transformation, continuous integration, and continuous bionic maturity must be relentless. Each phase of the roadmap brings into focus the different frameworks that compose the overall Bionic Enterprise Framework (c) to be applied at all scales across the enterprise.
